Deploying a massive, high-hitpoint tank like a Golem, Giant, or Lava Hound is only the first step in executing a successful 'Beatdown' strategy.

Choosing the correct support units dictates the entire personality and effectiveness of your deck.

Clearing the Path

The most common and fundamental type of support unit is the ranged splash-damage attacker, such as the Wizard, Executioner, or Baby Dragon.

However, splash units usually have lower single-target Damage Per Second (DPS) and are incredibly vulnerable if the tank dies.

• If you use an Executioner, strongly consider adding the Tornado spell to your deck.
• Smart opponents will wait for your tank to cross, then drop a Valkyrie directly ON your support units, killing them instantly.
• Always protect your support units.

The Single-Target Assassins and Snipers

You need high-DPS, single-target snipers like the Musketeer, Flying Machine, or Night Witch to rapidly melt through thick defensive lines.

The bats swarm the enemy's single-target defenders (like the Inferno Tower), distracting them while the Night Witch and the Golem crush the building.

Invisible Helpers

A heavy tank paired perfectly with a predictive Log and a Lightning spell can often break through a defense without needing any backup troops.

The slow march to victory is unstoppable if supported correctly.
